Notes: Yet another tribute album from the team of Bob Kulick and Billy Sherwood. Pigs and Pyramids is, however, notable for appearances by several other Yes men. Squire, White and Yes manager Jordan Berliant join Sherwood for a version of "Comfortably Numb"—Squire's vocal performance is a high point and Sherwood has a nice guitar solo at the end. Tony Kaye makes a rare appearance on "Run Like Hell" playing his familiar phat chords: however, he is barely noticeable until some nice interplay with Zappa's guitar solo towards the end. Tony Levin turns in a strong performance on "Money", a bass player's song.

Over the album as a whole, the songs tend to be more faithful than not to the originals; the usual array of names appear. There is nothing radical here. This is Sherwood's second Pink Floyd tribute after appearing on Magna Carta's The Moon Revisited and I think Magna Carta maintain a better hit rate than the Kulick/Sherwood team when it comes to tribute albums. Four tracks from this album (1, 3, 6, 7) were re-used on Sherwood's third Pink Floyd project, Back Against the Wall, while one track (8) and parts of three others (5, 9, 11) were re-used on his fourth, Return to the Dark Side of the Moon.
