Notes: This Warner Bros. comedy was loosely based on the story of Tim 'Ripper' Owens, the fan who replaced Rob Halford in Judas Priest in 1996. Rabin did the instrumental score for the film and his track is a collage therefrom. The rest of the album includes various '80s metal classics and five songs by the fictional band in the film, Steel Dragon. Fronted in the film by actor Mark Wahlberg, the vocals were by Jeff Scott Soto (ex-Yngwie Malmsteen) and Mike Matijevic (Steel Heart). (HP, 4 Jun 02)
