Notes: There had been tensions in the band with Wetton. Wetton was fired and replaced by Greg Lake, but after Dec 1983 concerts, Lake left and Wetton was convinced to come back. Wetton's price was that Howe had to go.

In a Dec 2019 tweet, Downes said, "John and I always had a gentleman’s agreement whereby we split our songs 50/50 despite whoever came up with any particular song or idea. He wrote the whole of Voice of America, and I wrote the whole of Rock & Roll Dream. We shared as brothers." Both "Voice of America" and "Wishing" were reportedly started by Wetton for a solo project while he was out of the band. (Francois Angers; updated HP, 1 Jan 2020)
